Tom Hogg, Mortgage Specialist:

Funding well over 100 Million annually, Tom is recognized as one of Canada's Top Mortgage Consultants. He has conducted numerous training sessions at brokerage houses coast to coast and teaches Introductory Mortgage Finance for the Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board. In addition, Tom has consulted for Price Waterhouse Coopers in strategic plan development relating to changes in Canada's Mortgage Industry.

Tom has been an active member of the Broker Advisory Council for both MCAP Mortgage Corporation (since its inception) and FirstLine Mortgages. He has also appeared on, or been quoted in, various media related to Mortgage Finance. As a passionate supporter of broker education and in an effort to give back to the industry, Tom has joined The Mortgage Training Group to share his experiences, techniques and vision with brokers across Canada.

After graduating from the University of Guelph in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, Tom began his career as a mortgage consultant in the Oakville/Mississauga area. He was involved in the opening of the very first Mortgage Centre franchise in Canada, which has now grown to 76 franchises coast to coast. With over 16 years in the mortgage business Tom attributes his success to the strong family support of his wife Denise and their two children, Ashley and Joshua. Tom also wishes to recognize the efforts and dedication of his full time assistant, Kevin Macklem, as an essential contributor to his success.
